Looking back on a year of ministry

HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope this will be the most fulfilling and fruitful year of your life and ministry! Before I share with you about our upcoming ministry events for this year, let me share with you how last year ended:

newsletter001Our ministry concluded December 5-7 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is one of the most dynamic cities the Lord has ever sent me to preach the Gospel. The photo to the left was taken from the hotel room I stayed in…the view was breathtaking! I spent hours watching from the window and praying over this beautiful city that desperately needs the Savior of the world—Jesus Christ!

We worked with a church that had two locations in different parts of the city. The pastor and church leaders prayed and prepared these two congregations for several months and their hard work was blessed by the Lord! The church members took this opportunity seriously and applied the OPERATION ANDREW strategy our ministry uses for our crusades, which is where Christians are mobilized to PRAY for, and INVITE, and BRING non-Christians and un-churched Christians to the crusade. The two congregations of this one church together has about 300 people in their Sunday services. As a result of their prayer and bringing people to this crusade, 500 people attended this unique one-night Crusade Event held in a public theatre (photo below), which means approximately 40% of those attending were visitors! God moved in great power and 70 people made a public decision for Jesus Christ! The church had an immediate follow-up system in place that is now in full motion to help make disciples of the new believers and the Christians who rededicated to God! Here are some testimonies:

newsletter002One lady in the church, who prayed for and invited some of her friends and family to attend the crusade, saw two people she invited make life-changing choices. Her sister, a Christian already, attended the crusade and came forward to publicly rededicate her life to Jesus! A second woman, an acquaintance, came forward to accept Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior! This woman had been struggling with depression and after the crusade service she talked to, and prayed with, the lady who invited her to the crusade, and this helped her begin processing the depression she had been “stuck” in. A third person who made a commitment to Christ said this, “Today I can say that my past life will only be a memory to me and will serve as an example of how God can restore my heart, my family, and my life!”

Your prayers and support helped our ministry to end last year impacting lives in Argentina—Thank You! We begin this New Year of ministry next month in India…may more lives be changed forever!

For a New Year of proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ,

Scott Nute
