From the beginning of this ministry in 1990 my heart has burned to see people accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior! Though there have been various “chapters” of this ministry along the way, my goal has never wavered—to win men and women to Jesus Christ!
My personal goal from the beginning has been to see a minimum of 1,000,000 people make a decision to follow Jesus Christ before my life is over, and because of the help we receive from people like you we will accomplish this goal. To this point, we have seen 86,000 “decisions” (decision meaning repentance from sin and by grace through faith trusting only in Jesus Christ) for Jesus Christ and we give all the glory to God! However, we have a long way to go as there are now over 7 billion people in the world, of which, according to recent surveys, fewer than 10% have truly received Jesus Christ and become born-again Christians.
Our ministry philosophy is to reach and to train people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We have two major projects later this year: in India in September and South Sudan in October. These are great opportunities to have life-changing impact in the lives of thousands of people who don’t yet know Christ, as well as in the lives of pastors and Christians who are involved in the preparation and training for these events, and those who will attend the Leadership Development Conferences we will be hosting. Our ministry simply and literally does what Jesus Christ focused on during His ministry on earth…traveling from city to city preaching to the lost and training the saved!
Yet, we don’t have to travel across the world to have an impact in someone’s life! God can and will use us in our neighborhoods if we are simply willing to make a choice to tell someone about Jesus. Recently, a new neighbor moved in next to me and I began to pray for him and his little daughter. Soon after, I introduced myself and we had a brief chat. Afterwards, I prayed more in private for him and his daughter. Sometime later, during our second conversation, I stepped out of my comfort zone and through that wall of fear and asked him if I could ask him some questions about spiritual things. He said yes, and as we talked he told me he had accepted Jesus Christ years ago but had gotten off track; he had been in prison but is now back with the Lord, going to church, and reading his Bible every night. We had a great talk and I had the privilege to say a prayer for my new friend and his daughter right there on the front porch of our apartment complex. Is there any reason you cannot step out by faith and share your love for Jesus with someone soon…even today? “This is a day of Good News, and we are keeping it to ourselves.” (2 Kings 7:9). “I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.” (2 Corinthians 6:2). Please pray for us as we prepare for upcoming projects, and please know how much you are appreciated!
For the world…for one,

It was two years ago this month when, after months of prayer, study and counsel, I made the decision to go out by faith and re-incorporate this ministry. The final Word of confirmation the Lord gave me that the time had come to do this was from Ezekiel 26:2, where the Bible says, “The gate to the nations is broken, and its doors have swung open to me.”
The God of Israel, by His sovereign will and power, has swung open the door for our ministry to conduct a major pioneer project in the world’s newest country that is now free from Islamic rule—South Sudan! We received an invitation from the South Sudan Council of Churches, the nation’s primary group of church leadership, to conduct a follow-up project after the recent Franklin Graham festival held in October 2012. To read the report from that event visit the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association’s website at: http://www.billygraham.org/articlepage.asp?articleid=9009
Our ministry board and advisors are already deep in prayer, asking God to reveal what He wants to do through our ministry to reach and train lives not only in Juba, the capital of South Sudan, but also throughout the entire country! PLEASE join us in prayer, that God will give us guidance, discernment, and wisdom in following His will!
We have a vision of having both a short-term and long-term impact in South Sudan! In October 2013, our team will be traveling to Juba to conduct Stage 1 of this project, which will consist of an extensive two-day Leadership Development Conference where we plan to bring in as many leaders as possible from throughout the country to the conference in Juba. Plus, we have been given access to conduct our school program in every high school, junior high, and college in the country. We will also continue the mobilization of all the churches for the next stage that will take place…
In October 2014, our team will return to Juba for Stage 2 when we will conduct a large-scale Festival Crusade at the Memorial Park that we believe will impact the entire nation of South Sudan! By the time Stage 2 arrives, we will have been praying for, working with, and training the local pastors and churches for a year and a half. This will help equip the South Sudan Body of Christ not just for a harvest of new souls ready to enter the local churches for discipleship, but will also help strengthen the South Sudan Christian foundation upon which future generations can be built! Plus, we will conduct a second Leadership Development Conference and a second layer of outreach programs in numerous schools.
Between now and October 2014 we will be doing all we can, with God’s power and help, to network, to bring, to send, and to partner with like-minded churches and organizations so we can all work together to help this new country build a strong Christian legacy based on the Bible! The needs in South Sudan are great and we are praying God will bring others to help with Bibles, education, vacation Bible schools, water wells, clothing, short-term mission teams, women’s ministries, literature, and books on mentoring, family, parenting, church leadership, etc. We will be sharing more details and updates about the South Sudan project periodically to keep you informed of the progress and opportunities.
To add to this, God has opened doors for us in India! For months we have been doing preliminary preparations in South Central India, where our ministry is working with churches from numerous denominations for an upcoming area-wide Festival Crusade and a Leadership Development Conference. Next month, I’ll share more details about this project.
Again, please join us in prayer for these tremendous opportunities God has opened for our ministry in South Sudan and India! It is the support from you, our friends and partners, that God uses to make all this possible! Thank you!
Through His open doors,
Scott Nute
Reports continue to arrive from the Philippines sharing updates and testimonies of what God continues to do during the post-event follow-up and discipleship from our recent project where 3,218 people made a decision for Jesus Christ! Here are a few examples:
Churches involved in our project reported that as a direct result of our school programs and “Family Festival” crusade, visitors began attending their Sunday services and a Friday night youth service. These churches, located on the small Philippine Island of Mindoro, are excited to have these new Christians as candidates for upcoming baptisms! Plus, they have started four new small groups in neighboring “barangay’s,” which are districts close to the area where we conducted our recent outreach and training project.
One church shared the following testimony with a member of our Asia team: Four young men came to their church the first Sunday after our project concluded and said to one of their pastors, “We are gay and we want to change…can you help us?” During our school programs I addressed a variety of “life issues” people struggle with, of which one is homosexuality. I shared general explanations as to why a person may drift toward and choose to be homosexual. But I also shared that if people turn their hearts over to Jesus Christ and repent/turn from their past and current sins, He will not only forgive them but, if they are willing, He will also change their homosexual desires into heterosexual desires that can be fulfilled between one man with one woman in marriage.
One of our ministry advisors, Mr. Mike Scalf of San Antonio, TX, just returned from the most newly formed country in the world, South Sudan. Mr. Scalf took an advance trip to begin the initial mobilization phase of the project we will be conducting later this year in Juba, the capital of South Sudan.
Later this month Mr. Scalf will be representing our ministry on another advance preparation trip to Vijayawada, India, to begin mobilizing churches for our upcoming project there. Please join me in praying for Mr. Scalf, that the Lord will grant him protection, power, provision, wisdom, and discernment in preparing the logistics for these two major projects. Soon, we will share more details of these tremendous doors that God has opened for us!
My grandfather on my mom’s side passed away recently triggering grief in the hearts of our family members. The graphic reality hit home in my heart that each one of us is going to die someday—some minute—and that you and I are going to take and then release our last breath before entering eternity. How do we deal with the grief of losing loved ones? And, how can we be sure we (and those we know) will go to heaven when we die? To find answers to these questions visit our website at: www.scottnute.org.
It is because of the financial and prayer support from people like you that our ministry is able to be involved in what God is doing to reach and change lives globally! Thank you for your giving and prayers, and for your partnership!
For the Gospel of Jesus Christ,
Scott Nute
Our team experienced an outpouring of God’s salvation on a Philippine island during our recent outreach and training project! My heart overflows with gratitude as I share the following project report.
The seaside rural town of Mamburao, located on the island of Mindoro in the Philippines, saw 3,218 people make a decision for Jesus Christ…which is 8% of the local population! During our area-wide “Family Festival” evangelistic event, people from mountain tribes rode on the roofs of jeeps our ministry rented that transported people back-and-forth to the event, and many of them committed to Jesus! Thank you for your prayers and support that made all this possible!
We took our school program into 9 junior high and senior high schools in the Mindoro region. The students were pierced to the heart when hearing the direct Gospel message of Jesus Christ! They responded strongly to the charge of leaving behind drugs, alcohol, gang involvement, sex outside marriage, and other life-destroying issues. Both students and teachers alike publicly repented of their sins and made commitments to Jesus Christ!
After one of our school outreaches, in response to our urging to wait until marriage to have sex, a young person texted one of our team members, saying “Thank you for helping me to protect my sexuality!”
Another component of our recent Philippines project was the “Leadership Development Conference” attended by 215 pastors, church leaders, and ministry-minded Christians! We were able to encourage these leaders with messages on living a life of integrity and how to effectively share their faith, as well as teachings on hope for wounded hearts and revival. Over 70 church leaders made a public rededication of their lives and ministries to Jesus Christ! Plus, we distributed ministry resources and gave 50 Bibles to those who did not own a Bible, and we gave out 30,000 Gospel tracts during this project.
A pastor who attended our Leadership Development Conference had become weary from the ministry he had to one of the tribal groups in the Philippine mountains; he has to walk some distance regularly to reach and disciple this tribe. During our conference he was encouraged and recommitted his ministry to the Lord, and two days later he returned to the mountain tribe to continue his ministry there!
Please join us in prayer for the continued nurturing and discipleship of those who made commitments to Christ during this project in the Philippines. The follow-up and counseling committee, mobilized weeks in advance by our Asia advance team, has already begun the follow-up and church connection strategy we put in place.
We need your help to continue conducting life-changing outreach and training events like these! Projects are already being prepared for later in the year and with your help we will see more lives changed by the Gospel…your generous financial gift of faith sent today will help us continue to have an impact in people’s lives around the globe! Thank you for your support, prayers, vision, and partnership!
For continued world-wide harvest,
Scott Nute
It is with anticipation that I write to you today. Our team is making final preparations for our upcoming outreach and training project February 16-23 in Mindoro, Philippines. I can hardly wait to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and see people come to the cross!
We will be reaching thousands of students in our school programs that will be held in numerous schools throughout the Western Mindoro region, a province of the Philippines. Our team will be sharing testimonies, distributing thousands of pamphlets containing the plan of salvation (see photo to the left), and communicating the Good News of knowing and following Jesus Christ!
During this project we will also host our Leadership Development Conference that will be attended by church leaders and ministry-minded Christians from dozens of churches. Most, if not all, of these church leaders live and serve God in very primitive circumstances as many Philippine provinces have very limited access to vehicles, the internet, e-mail, and other “luxuries” most of us take for granted. We will be pouring out our hearts to inspire, encourage, and help train these leaders for effective and fruitful ministry! As God provides, we will give Bibles to those who do not own their own Bible.
Our native Asia advance team has been on location twice preparing the local churches for this project. A major component of the advance work is training Christians to counsel and follow up with those who make a commitment to Christ and help assimilate them into a church.
We will also conduct our area-wide crusade event that the local church leaders are calling a “Family Festival.” This event will saturate the entire area with the message of Jesus Christ, planting seeds of the Gospel in thousands of lives. Please join us in prayer for many families—men, women, youth, and children—to give their lives to Jesus!
Thank you for your prayers and generous support that will help us see lives changed forever in the Philippines!
You are warmly invited to attend one of our upcoming “BENEFIT DINNERS” taking place March 8 in Houston, TX at my home church, Houston’s First Baptist Church; and March 15 in Albuquerque, NM; and March 16 in my home town, Las Cruces, NM; and April 5 in the Niagara Falls, NY area where I played professional baseball for the Detroit Tigers minor-league system. A way you can help our ministry grow is by being a “Table Host” at a benefit. A table host simply contacts, invites, and brings people they know to join them at their table and allows me the opportunity to meet their friends. Our ministry is providing a complimentary catered meal, so come join us for a nice evening of fellowship, good food, and hearing about our ministry. For information contact us at info@scottnute.org or call 713-277-8638.
For the souls of Filipinos…I am sincerely yours,
Scott Nute
